National Methosoc Annual Conference 2026

The serene grounds of Gweru Baptist Seminary came alive from the 20th to the 22nd of March as delegates from across the country gathered for the National Methodist Society on Campus (METHOSOC) Annual Conference. Under the powerful theme “Remain in Christ,” the conference drew hundreds of young Methodists eager to deepen their faith, strengthen fellowship, and renew their commitment to Christ.

From the moment delegates arrived, there was a palpable sense of excitement and spiritual anticipation. Campuses from different regions were well represented, each bringing their unique energy, songs, and testimonies. The opening session set the tone, reminding attendees of the importance of remaining rooted in Christ in the face of life’s challenges, temptations, and distractions that often accompany campus life.

The conference was not only attended by students but was also enriched by the presence of associates graduates who continue to be part of the METHOSOC family as well as dedicated advisors and chaplains who took time out of their busy schedules to be part of the gathering. Their presence added depth, wisdom, and a strong sense of continuity within the ministry.

One of the highlights of the conference was the presence of guest speaker Chaplain Phiri, whose attendance generated great enthusiasm among the delegates. Known for her vibrant personality and impactful ministry, Chaplain Phiri delivered powerful and relatable messages that resonated deeply with the youth. Through humor, personal experiences, and scriptural teachings, she challenged students to live authentic Christian lives and to remain steadfast in their relationship with Christ regardless of circumstances.

The conference was also graced by the presence of the Managing Director of Gegana Construction, Mr. Matarukwa, who delivered an insightful presentation encouraging students to work diligently towards achieving their goals. In addition to his words of wisdom, he made a generous donation towards METHOSOC’s planned projects, for which the ministry remains deeply grateful.

Daily sessions were filled with spirit-lifting praise and worship, as well as thought provoking sermons. Evenings were marked by vibrant gospel performances, prayer sessions, and moments of reflection. The all-night prayer session stood out as a deeply moving experience, as students gathered in unity to seek God, intercede for their campuses, and recommit themselves to His service. Many testified to experiencing spiritual renewal, healing, and a renewed sense of purpose.

The conference was not only a time of spiritual growth but also an opportunity to build lasting friendships and networks among Methodist members nationwide. Social interactions, including sporting activities, further fostered unity and encouraged a sense of oneness among attendees. Laughter, song, and shared experiences strengthened the bonds within METHOSOC, reinforcing the sense of belonging to a larger spiritual family.

As the conference came to a close on the 22nd of March, an atmosphere of gratitude and transformation filled the air. Delegates departed with hearts full of inspiration and a renewed determination to “remain in Christ” in every aspect of their lives. The closing service commissioned them as ambassadors of Christ, ready to make a meaningful impact on their campuses and in their communities.

Special appreciation goes to the National Executive Committee and the National Chaplain for their dedication, vision, and tireless efforts in planning and organizing such a successful and impactful conference. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to every stakeholder whose contributions made this gathering possible.

Indeed, the 2026 National METHOSOC Annual Conference at Gweru Baptist Seminary will be remembered as a life-changing event one that rekindled faith, inspired purpose, and reminded all in attendance of the power of abiding in Christ.

May God Bless Methosoc!
